The Polarized Politics of Immigration Reform

  • Thurston County Economic Development Council 4220 6th Avenue Southeast Lacey, WA, 98503 United States (map)

A presentation by Robin Jacobson, University of Puget Sound Associate Professor of Politics and Government, as part of the Olympia World Affairs Council Lecture Series. The presentation will begin at 7:30pm.

How much change have we actually seen in our immigration policy with the new administration? How does polarization of politicians and the media affect the ability to address questions about immigration? Might this be the best opportunity we have seen in some time for immigration reform?

This series is supported by the Thurston Economic Development Council, the Port of Olympia, South Puget Sound Community College, St Martin's University, and The Evergreen State College.
