Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival

  • Washington State Capital Building 416 Sid Snyder Avenue Southwest Olympia, WA, 98501 United States (map)

The Poor People's Campaign is a national campaign raising awareness of and the immediate need to address the issues of poverty, the war economy, ecological devastation, and systemic racism. For six Mondays in May and June there will be rallies by the Poor People's Campaign in Olympia and at least 30 other state capitals across the United States.

This fifth Action of Washington State's Poor People's Campaign is scheduled with the theme: EVERYBODY’S GOT THE RIGHT TO LIVE: Education, Living Wage Jobs, Income, Housing. The final rally is scheduled for 6/18.

Anyone intending to participate in nonviolent civil disobedience as part of this Action is asked to attend a training beforehand. This training is intended to ground participants in the values and goals of the campaign and to support individuals in making informed, personal decisions on whether to engage in nonviolent civil disobedience.
